Our Goal is to Raise
$1 Million!!
Our $1 million goal is to raise funds for a new on-site Training & Enrichment Center, an expansion of our medical facility, and much-needed updates to our existing buildings.
TRAINING & ENRICHMENT CENTER
The Training & Enrichment Center will be a 4,000-square-foot building that provides space for dogs to play and receive training indoors when our cold winters and rainy seasons hit. It gives us the opportunity to hold year-round puppy classes and provides added indoor space. This is a completely new building on our grounds, fully furnished with bathrooms, a kitchenette, and a storage area.
MEDICAL CENTER EXPANSION
Many don't realize that in addition to spays/neuters, and medical treatment for Adopt-A-Pet's annual 1,100 plus animals, our medical facility and staff provide reduced-cost services to several other rescue groups that have a similar mission. This almost doubles the number of animals that receive services from Adopt-A-Pet on their journey to a new home. While we've grown in the number of animals we've serviced, our 500-square-foot space has not. Our goal is to be able to do more medical procedures, relaunch our low-cost spay/neuter program to the community, and ramp up our Trap/Neuter/Return (TNR) program to spay and neuter community cats. We want to add an in-house laboratory and create a post-surgery area that provides a space where dogs and cats can re-coop from surgery in a dedicated, separate, less stressful space.
SHELTER RENOVATIONS & UPGRADES
After 17 years, the Adopt-A-Pet buildings are in need of improvements. The dog building has worn flooring and the main building bathroom needs replacing. Both buildings need new siding and exterior improvements. It is our goal to create a “Zen Den” for the dogs and pups to enjoy an outdoor sensory area, and update and expand our cat areas.

Through this capital campaign, it is our need to raise $1 million. Thanks to a very generous donor, they have pledged to match every donation of $1,000 or more until December 31 this year. So, your $5,000 gift doubles to $10,000, and $20,000 turns into $40,000!!
